Clinical Effect of Megavit 500^(¢ç) on Various Cardiovascular diseases

Abstract
|
|
|
Forty seven patients composed of 25 post-stroke, 11 arrhythmia, 3 cardiomyopathy and 8 coronary artery disease were administered Megavit 500¢ç, a mixture of crude¢¥ extracts from juniper, mistletoe, hawthorn and vitamin B, B12, 3-6 capsules daily for 3 to 12 months.
The results were as follows.
1. General improvement rate were 74%, the highest was 81% in patients with cerebral infarction, the least was 50% in patients with coronary artery diseases.
2. Rate of improvement was significantly high in paresthesia (100%) , chest pain (8 )% ), headache (75%) and dizziness (69%) while poor in speech disturbance (54%) and motor paralysis(63%).
3. No serious side reaction were noted symptomatically and biochemically except each one case of indigestion, fatigability, decreased libido which were not proven to be related with the drug.
In conclusion, Megavit¢ç is recommanded in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases especially in convalescent stage of cerebral infarction adiuvant to conventional drug therapy
